Scrapbooking, has anyone used buttons?
If so, how do you attach them? I got a bunch as gifts & don’t know what to do with them…
You can use glue dots. You can tie a small ribbon through and use this to secure through the page (as if you were sewing the button on, but just tie the ribbon isnstead of threading back through) – a knot looks best rather than a bow though.
If you have silk flowers or paper stamped flowers buttons look really good as the centre of the flower.
You can use them for borders round your page.
You can just use them as an accent (e.g. 3 in a vertical/horizontal line in a corner).
I’ve raided my mums old button tin and have loads but have also got some off ebay. Look under the sewing section as well as the scrapbooking and you might find some bargains.
